WALLPAPER AND MURAL SELECTIONS
Living in an apartment has its advantages. My To Do list has shrunken considerably, and I haven’t been spending money on home furnishings. The downside is that I’m not buying any new home furnishings. This leaves a designer lusting after lots of tile, furniture, and wallpaper. Oh the beautiful wallpapers I find when researching for clients (who will never let me put wallpaper in their home.) Therefore, I must round them up in a post to share with you.
I think dark and moody spaces are underused and undervalued. Dark walls don’t work in every space, but when done right, it makes for a glamorous, dare I say, sexy room. The wallpapers below are some of my favorites to create a moody space. Each pattern is a work of art in its own right, and I've even considered framing a few of these styles.
Where would I have these lovely papers installed? Small powder rooms are just calling out for those florals, and I’m a big fan of the marble paper. I would even consider using a few of these in a nursery. The stars, dots, or one of the landscapes would be perfect to add interest and comfort in a baby’s room. Now most of these aren't cheap and installation costs can set you back as well, so owning these walls would be quite an investment. On the other hand, if you love it enough, it's worth the money. That's how I justify everything. So future clients please do me a favor, fall in love with a beautiful wallpaper for your next project.
